Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

As a guest, I mostly couchsurf because I sometimes need a place to sleep after having attended a concert far away from home. Of course, hotels have beds too, but I find it much more interesting meeting new people.

For now, I live in a rented room in another persons appartment, but when I get my own place, I would like host people too, because I want to help out those, who needs a place to stay, just like I do myself sometimes. Also, I find it very interesting getting to know new people, and once again discovering how amazingly different, yet still so similar, we all are. I don't travel much abroad, so I would love having people coming to me and showing/telling me about their culture - maybe teaching me some of their national dishes or showing me some new music.

Música, películas y libros

MUSIC
...is my biggest passion, I must admit. I have a huge physical music collection with everything from Mozart and Metallica to MØ and Malk De Koijn. (Aaand... a few other artists that doesn't start with the letter M). My taste in music is very broad and what I listen to depends on the mood, but in order not to sound musically apathetic, I feel obliged to say, that my favorite artists are in the genres of electronic, rock and alternative hiphop. Also, I find great joy in discovering new music - especially weird underground stuff that may never see the face of the earth except for a few homemade demo-tapes recorded with a calculator and passed among a few of the initiates.
I go to tons of concerts, but since many of my favorite artists don’t visit places near me, I sometimes travel long distances to see them, and then need a place to sleep afterwards, which is one of the reasons, why I signed up for Couchsurfing.

MOVIES:
Favorite movies: American Beauty, Fight Club, Amélie, The Secret in Their Eyes, Batman - The Dark Knight, Schindler’s List, Spies & Glistrup (Sex, Drugs & Taxation), De Grønne Slagtere (The Green Butchers), Silence of the Lambs.
Favorite short films: Det Korte Liv (The Short Life), Listen, Helium.
Series: Breaking Bad, South Park, Community, The Simpsons, Casper & Mandrilaftalen.

BOOKS:
I’m actually a big fan of literature and poetry, though I don’t read as much as I would like to. But my all-time favorite author/poet is the famous and infamous, Danish “karma cowboy”, Mr. Dan Turèll.

I know a lot of cultural trivia, so if you want to talk music, movies, art, etc. I'm up for it!
If you want to see my town, I can also show you all the cool venues, bars, second-hand stores, playgrounds of local street artists and so on.
