HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've been quite fortunate to meet and stay with many wonderful people throughout my travels. recently, i've moved back to USA from Dubai. am hoping to reconnect with the CS community in the states.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

after my first five experiences: what an incredible concept! i've stayed with fantastic hosts, further reinforcing my belief in the goodness of people!

back in usa, i've searched closer to home with similarly wonderful results.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

movies: although i watch more at home than in the theatre, i enjoy many types of movies. a few examples are Life is Beautiful, Blood Diamond and Casablanca.

music: i completely love music, whether it be live or from the ipod, and find something enjoyable in all genres. there were a lot of artists/bands that i heard while traveling whose names i never got. others amongst my favorites include Alabina, Peter Tosh, Ofra Haza, Ziggy Marley, his dad, Bob Dylan, Tori Amos, Shawn Mullins, Damien Rice, Nina Simone and Andrea Bocelli.

books: i'm always reading something, whether it be an airport paperback or a philosophical discussion of life after death. a lot of my reading tends to be travel related, including books by Krakauer, Theroux, Bryson, as well as the vast majority of LP guidebooks.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

traveling the world solo for 14 months is at the top of my list. jumping off the world's highest, fixed bungee location was also incredible! spear fishing for my dinner in the crystal clear waters of Tonga, then dining on the beach of an uninhabited island, might round out the top three.

always striving to learn, willing to teach and share whatever i can offer. love to experience new things and take others on their first adventures, whether that be scuba diving, trekking or exploring a new destination together!

i just started playing around with accoustic guitar...would love to learn more from somebody who can already play!
