About Me

Hi,

My name is Ratiba, I am 25 years old.
I love travelling and discovering new cultures through their people and cuisine.
I spent a year studying abroad in the United States and since then, I kept on travelling in order to visit the friends from all over the world that I made there.
I am fond of sports, reading, spending time with friends and family, cooking and baking and well, enjoying life and making the most of it !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I graduated recently and got a job in London.
The notice I've been given is extremely short and I need to get there on the 27th of July in order to find a place before I start working on the 3rd of August.
I would really appreciate it if someone from this great community would agree to host me during this period of time, until I find a place.

Interests

They are very diverse. I am a curious person and a pragmatic one. I like understanding things in general.I like reading the economic newspapers and magazines in order to be informed of what's going on in the world and to get differents perspectives on the same events.
I also like travelling and getting to know a country's history before visiting it.
The list could go on and on but I'll stick to that for now.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love jazz music but I listen to pretty much everything I can find.
As for books, I love French literature (Au Bonheur des Dames written by Emile Zola is one of my old time favorite) anf I am very fond of the Bronte sister's work. I am planning on reading more English classics from now on but so far, I've been reading various types of books.
Oh and I am part of these teenagers whose lives were changed forever by the Harry Potter books !

What I Can Share with Hosts

My everlasting cheerfulness, my love for good food and my tidiness :)
I am a very good cook (so I've been told) and since my parents are Algerian, I can cook traditional algerian dishes as well as French ones .
I am also very fond of baking, so I can teach you !
I can also teach you French :)
