Settle down in Leipzig, play and record some music

ABOUT ME

Rattenkönig is the name of an associative music / art label that six French people are about to start in Leipzig.

Basically, what we want to do is to :

- Play music in Leipig or around. We have several projects : a punk-hardcore band named Vagina Dentata

and possibly some other projects that could sit between Dub, Hip Hop and Electronic Music

- Record music. Four of us previously made sound engineering studies and we want to use the knowledge we acquired during that time with musicians / bands we like, either they are from Leipzig, France, or everywhere else. Here are a few examples of our work.

- Working with plastic artists and making some exhibitions. One of us is a plastic artist indeed and wants both to establish a studio and to elaborate the graphic aspect of the label.

We're about to move in Leipzig at the beginning of May, except Gwen that will join us later on. As soon as we arrive, we'll be looking for a flat to rent so that we can start our activity !

PHILOSOPHY

Our Rattenkönig project also includes a collective daily life with each other. The desire of making that project is born with the desire of trying to live in a clever and self-conscious way. We also believe Leipzig is a good place for settling down, it seems to be quite an interesting place at the moment
