About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Visit interesting cites and people

ABOUT ME

I'm extrovert person who loves to travel and enjoys to meet new people. I's easy to get me interested in things and I'm in general a happy person who makes friends easily.

Things I enjoy the most:
-Reading
-Architektur
-Nightlife
-Sport (Soccer/Fieldhockey)
-Theater
-Golf

And more than anything else: learning new things - the more abstruse or unusual the better ;)

Some people keep complaining about my bad habit of giving answers and information if not asked. But since I love learning new things I also enjoy telling people stuff that I consider interesting or fun fact and I am sorry if that is annoying or tiresome, but I never realise that I do it, until someone gets off about it.

I am a winter person, that is not kept best in sun nor heat. Heat makes me dizzy and lazy as soon as it is over 25 C even if I try to stay out of the sun - so it is probably no wonder that the places I want to go to are normally cold, rainy or snowy. Or everything at once ;)

PHILOSOPHY

If you stop getting better, you stop being good sometimes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been to London for one month in total - stayed at a lot of different places and met a lot of interesting people from everywhere around the world:
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Mexico
- Spain
- Czech Republic
- Italy
- Denmark
- Russia
and then, when I stoped trying I met some awesome London people too :)
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, showed me around, helped me and shared their experience and language with me. I was so happy when I came back, that I started hosting myself, which totally freaked my mum out to begin with, but now she likes it as much as I do and even tried it herself when she came to (again) London with me two years later ;)
I have been in Edinburgh for a week with a friend I met on Couchsurfing ( my first official couchsurfer Tessa from Hong Kong! ) and hosted a lot of her friends and some other people whenever possible - which I sadly have to admit was not very often... :(

Interests

- Ballett (classic most of the time, since i keep on failing to understand most of the modern plays)

- Theatre (everything except for modern remakes of old classics - most of those can ruin even the best play!)

- Architecture (I know it sound pretty creepy but I can enjoy staring at beautiful buildings for hours ;) )

- Traveling (especially wandering off and see where it takes me - even if I always buy a tourist guide and make great plans)

- Languages (I really enjoy hearing different languages - especially those I do not understand, because it is really relaxing not to listen or to try hard to understand for a change :) )

- Food :)

  • humanities
  • theater
  • architecture
  • dining
  • cooking
  • wine
  • nightlife
  • reading
  • traveling
  • sports
  • soccer
  • golf

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During one of our many stays in Greece, we once stayed at a beach during the day, where tutles lay down their eggs in the sand. And on this day, some of the baby tutles broke through they eggs and crawled into the sea. I have never seen anything more amazing before. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not a great cook, but if you enjoy trying experimental cooking, I will do my best ;)
Plus: If you tell me upfront I can practice something!

I am a fan of conversations and discussions. Picnics and wine on long evenings.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United Kingdom
