About Me

I'm Raúl from México, specifically Morelia (if you don't know this place, the zone is where 70% of the avocado of the world is produced! and where Día de Muertos originated, really cool place).

Back then I didn't travel that much, but out of nowhere something made me want to explore more, my first trip was to Japan, I went by my own when I was 18 and I chose that country because it was the farthest I could imagine. It was an incredible experience, totally worth it.

From there I started to travel around Europe visiting France, Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland and finally came to the Netherlands to do my studies outside Mexico and know more people and awesome places!

I am really easygoing and believe that the best travels are the ones that you set your own times, (like, have you seen those tours where they go to 4 cities in 1 day and people are always in a rush, that's all the opposite of me). I also believe that every person is interesting in a way, and all of them have a story to tell, this travels have helped me a lot to open my mind (sound cliché, I know) and learn a looot of stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like making new friends and meeting people that can show me intereseting things about their culture. Also, I'm new in Couch Surfing but have heard great comments from friends. Altought I've traveled fairly, I haven't tried CS so far, my friends keep recommending it but I haven't had the chance to do it. I guess I'll give it a try sometime.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to aaall diferent kinds of music but mainly Indie Latin American Rock, Hip Hop, and electronic. My favorite band are some mexican guuys called "little jesus" (no intention to offend).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My memory is not the best always so suddenly they come back and have some weird/interesting anecdotes to tell, i think that's because I often do some spontaneous things without thinking too much.

Teach, Learn, Share

I coook, I know some mexican dances, I sing (badly, but I do) and I know some interesting facts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good vibes always and good laughs, I think that doing a friend is always a good thing so it's like Toy Story... you got a friend in me
