About Me
Not a tourist, but a traveler. I like old records design and fruits. Amateur researcher for early 60's and late 70's music. Tropicalia and Woody Allen fan. Sometimes my best company is a book.
I like talking to people and I feel disappointed for not being able to clearly put my thoughts in words here. We are all learnig though. All of us. All the time. That's why I like traveling - there is no better way to explore the human condition. My goal is to give and absorb as much as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people. Sharing good moments ('cause thats what gives life a nice meaning). Giving and receiving. Spread comprehension (a bit pretentiousisn't it?)
What else can we say? I think it's nice to go somewhere and meet someone who lives there, I mean, exchanging life experiences. So the best way to make this work is to do the same for the people who come to my city. It's simple but awesome. Besides, meeting locals is a wonderful way to scape from this touristic vanity of travel magazines and stuff like that (although it's nice to have freedom to make your own 'mystakes' blind-eyed style, to get lost and find places you didn't expect etc...)

In sounds: Caetano, Jorge ben, QOTSA, Peter Bjorn and John, Graveyard, Black Sabbath, Arctic Monkeys, Mando Diao, Perota Chingo, Los Destellos, Tim Maia, Pavement, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur jr, Placebo, Chico Buarque, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tame Impala, Fukai, Gray Matter, Iggy, Bob Dylan, Bowie, Racionais, CCR, Hendrix, Mutantes, Coltrane, NUGGETS, Doors, Animals, Joy Division, Interpol...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finally managing to work with a human rights institution and being able to give my contribution to reduce the gap between those who have a lot and those who have nothing. Many people seem to deal confortably with this kind of issue and it may not look important but if I have a nice life, if I have the privilege to travel, it didn't came out of the blue, so I feel responsible to help out bulding a world in which others may have the opportunity to experience life however thay want. Thats the kind of reality I want to live in and I must help making it happen.
Teach, Learn, Share
"A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing, and coercion are fruitless. We find that after years of struggle that we do not take a trip; a trip takes us." John Steinbeck
"El miedo nos gobierna. Esa es una de las herramientas de las que se valen los poderosos, la otra es la ignorancia". Eduardo Galeano
What I Can Share with Hosts
I apologize for not having too much time (or as much time as I wanted) to spend with hosts, BUT...
1. I can show you amazing places that even people from my town ignore (and which are no less beautiful then other famous spots from round the world)
2. I may visit them with you (if I have the time to)
3. I can introduce you to some really nice people
ps: don't create huge expectations. just come with an open heart
