About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Fortitude, solitude and simplicity

ABOUT ME

I do not think there is anything special about me that is not special about you. I am balanced (I think) in my perception of life affairs. I do not know enough about enough and is always, hungry for knowledge. I am left handed, right brained and very clumsy. I grew tired of the comfortable, mediocre, monotonous lifestyle I found myself waist-deep in. I am quite restless but mostly in my head. I am much better at listening than speaking candidly. As you can see thus far; I am unable to keep a thought flowing in a consistent direction. I communicate much better in person (I swear), okay maybe most times.

I write for release or to decompress. I believe I am addicted to music. I discovered last night that 1. I actually love Salsa music and 2. I could probably learn to dance to it. Which brings me to this: I cannot dance to save my life but do have decent rhythm (whatever that means). I enjoy karaoke and more often than not will perform (under the awesome influence of libations) terribly.

I am more aware now that I am a work-in-progress than I was (aware)a decade ago. I have had all kinds of life experiences (as we all have), but somehow is able to recall even the shitty ones fondly because they are the driving force behind my continued mental and spiritual evolution and fortification.

I am low maintenance and enjoy stimulating conversations (but steer away from politics and religious talks).

In a nutshell my friend, I'm just a person.

PHILOSOPHY

The sum of one's life cannot be measured by what he has done or possessed, but by every solitary moment spent within himself.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed approximately a dozen couches in 6 weeks. I now look forward to meeting and/or hosting cool and interesting people from all corners of this globe.

I have an insane work schedule and more often than not will not be able to spend a lot of time with guests. When the time allows, however, something spontaneous and adventurous (especially around spring) shouldn't be too hard to find or create.

If you are requesting couch for two people, please attach a profile link to your request. It is understandable that one need some semblance of background information on the other individual they are about to invite in their home. The profile is free and it really does not consume a lot of time to complete.

I have one request for surfers: A map of the territory or country from which you hail. Please and thanks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some really cool people through the network. stumbled upon creative opportunities, learnt more about more than I'll ever be able to remember. Forged friendships that I can see lasting and growing for years to come. Drank 'Grog' for the first time - I love that stuff, it goes straight to the head. Learning a lot about foreign cultures and introduction to myriad foreign languages. Ate some strange foods too. All in all an essential 'course' in the study of life and the art of living.
