I'm from the southwest and love the desert but I'm on my way to the northwest to see how I like it. I love to read, write, and look at things. Man-made beauty and nature equally astound me and I'm inspired by people who do things bravely.

Never surfed and never hosted, but have had house shows and housed touring bands in the past.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with friends of friends of friends all over the world before, but this current journey requires a little extra umph.

Interests

I love traveling, writing, reading, etc. I've been to three continents and want to try to get to them all eventually. I write poetry, book reviews and have written about food for local papers in the southwest. My favorite writers are Roberto Bolano, Cormac McCarthy, and Ben Lerner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know. This is so hard. Really I think the amazing things are the simplest. I've met beautiful people, ate delicious food, and seen amazing sites. I'm also alive, and that's pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a pretty handy person with words and love to tell stories. I'm also pretty handy with a wrench and can do a lot of basic auto repair stuff with a socket set and a crescent wrench.
I'd love to learn to draw, learn to paint, to properly take a photo, plant a garden... idk, I love to learn practical and artistic things and would love someone to show me.
