Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Ray! I live in the best neighborhood in Connecticut to go out and have drinks. I have a beautiful loft apartment that is cozy, clean, and most importantly a comfy couch and air mattress. The apartment is a convenient 6 minute walk to the train station with frequent express trains to NYC if you want to explore the city. I have a car so we can also drive in and I can show you around (I lived in NYC for over 10 years and still go in almost every week).
I am amazing, outgoing, funny, smart, haha. I have a passion for travel (having been to over 40 countries). I love to hear and discuss different viewpoints and the diversity that makes the global community so great. As a former design major in college, I love architecture, photography, and art (mostly street/urban art). I enjoy music (new wave and indie), attending concerts, and playing my collection of records. I also enjoy culinary adventures and trying different food and drinks, especially with my friends and when it's filled with laughter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve travelled extensively around the world, in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. I’ve always enjoyed the global community and meeting new people. This is a way to give back to the hospitality I’ve received when traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music consists primarily of 80s Smiths, The Cure, New Order, etc, and great indie music such as Chromatics, Wild Nothing, Small Black, Camera Obscura, etc. But otherwise enjoy a wide range of genres.
I enjoy foreign movies, documentaries, and support independent cinema. But always up for the latest popular releases also.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In between jobs once, I took a 3 month trip to Asia with a group of friends and traveled to China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Taiwan. It was epic.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has something to share about their lives, experiences, interests. Always something new to learn!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My enthusiasm for world travel, passion for music, knowledge of street art, adventures around the area or in NYC, and if you want, a nicely cooked meal and expertly made cocktails.
