Hi! My name is Raya and I’m currently living and volunteering in Milano, Italy! :)

I’ve studied business, finance and entrepreneurship from high school all the way through a Master’s but I find myself leaning towards NGO work. Right now I work with young people and children, learning and gaining experience because I want to create my own youth center in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Aside from that, I’m a person who loves falling in different stories: I’m a passionate reader, I try to also be a writer, and I love hearing and understanding people’s life stories.

I’ve grown up dancing and singing, so those are also big parts of my life. To relax, I love walking to the beat of good songs, or biking into yet unknown parts of the city I’m in. :) (and best of all - swimming, anywhere, with any excuse)

音乐、电影和书籍

Like I wrote above, music and books are honestly integral to my survival. I can definitely live without movies, though, instead I prefer TV shows and losing countless hours going through the seasons... not saying it’s a good habit, but it is what it is. I’m a Doctor Who fan (even if I’m two seasons behind, oops), and for the others - I’ve seen so many I don’t even want to get into it. My favorite is definitely, no doubt, Parks and Recreation.
My favorite musician is IAMX but aside from him, my music tastes vary a lot. I generally like exploring new styles and genres and bands too, so I’m up for a new music party :)
And as for books... that’s a whole conversation on its own. For the longest time I wanted to have my own bookshop just so I know I can spend all my time amongst books and I can read as many as possible. I like reading about the lives of people, people understanding themselves and others deeply and complexly (even though you could argue most books have that goal...), and I am a little weak for romance, as long as it’s not just the romance in the story.

I think I count as an amazing thing taking the risk to do the European Voluntary Service, leaving behind my previous job and jumping into an adventure. Definitely never regretted it!

For starters, good mood, almost always!
I can teach you some salsa moves (and bachata, and merengue, of course) - my older sister has been a dance teacher for as long as I can remember, so I’ve picked up a lot.
I can share some book recommendations and definitely a lot of thoughts on life, for whoever is interested.
Oh, I’m also a certified mediator, so I can maybe help with the resolution of any conflicts you might be having.
As for languages - I think I mostly am still learning in all languages but Bulgarian and English, and if you want lessons in those, I am more than open to share!
