ABOUT ME
Hey folks, thanks for stopping by my profile!
I'm Raya, originally from Thailand, and I've had the chance to live and travel across many countries. Right now, I’m based in one of the coolest cities—Berlin!
I’m pretty easygoing. While I wouldn’t call myself a full-on extrovert, I do enjoy meeting new people, having good conversations, and spreading smiles. Sometimes, I can be quite the chatterbox too. Lol.
I work at a tech company, but no, I’m not an engineer. My role is all about hiring and bringing people on board. I love connecting with others, getting to know their stories, and supporting them however I can.
I have more to talk about myself but I want keep it short so you can ask me more when we meet :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love connecting with new people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. It’s a fantastic way to get to know locals, hear their unique stories, and experience new places in a more authentic and meaningful way.
For me, traveling goes far beyond sightseeing—it’s about building friendships, sharing experiences, and creating lasting memories with people from around the world. I also love the idea of giving back by hosting travelers and helping them feel at home wherever they are.
I discovered Couchsurfing through a friend while I was in Malaysia, and that’s when I began hosting. There were times I couldn’t be as active due to my job, which often requires me to travel and live in different countries. But now, I’m back on track and excited to host and be hosted by all of you again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm there are a lot but let me pick one. What I did was volunteer at a hospital in Dubai during the COVID-19 pandemic. During a time when fear and uncertainty were high, I offered my time and energy to help patients and support healthcare workers. It was a deeply rewarding experience, as I saw firsthand the resilience of people fighting the virus and witnessed the strength of community in action.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning new cultures and languages. I can share with you my native language. I like cooking too. Perhaps we can cook together and share our local food.
