Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted many surfers between 2009 and 2012 and then went on a world trip with a big group so couldn't try surfing myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had guests who walked out at the crack of dawn without saying goodbye, others who where adamant about snoring their way into my heart and ears. I have always been very polite when i come in and when i go out but what happens in between has been a big blast!

I've come to learn that food always works in putting us together and so dining out is my fallback everytime boredom peeks with its dreaded head

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saved a lady from committing suicide.

Rather silly ones:
Jumped a 100 foot high cliff into streaming ice-cold river at midnight.

Been chased by an enraged bull for a few hundred yards in a Texan ranch; it was mating season. Evidence of his horniness was huge and sticking out for all of us to see, but he left all the rest of my friends and chose to chase me. I felt flattered.

Driven through the bush of the African savanna in the dark of the night and bumped into an elephant. HE WAS NOT HAPPY. Kumo, the guide whom we bribed to let us drive, kept screaming repeatedly "majalala akumati!". We found out later it meant in local lingu "we have hit god"
