ABOUT ME

My name is Rachel and I am a 22year old student from Kansas City. I just finished my undergraduate degree in May 2012 studying Psychology at the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk), while there I took a semester to study in England at the University of Leeds. While studying in Leeds I was first introduced to couchsurfing and after some amazing experiences I was hooked! After returning to Kansas I had the opportunity to host some incredible travelers. Unfortunately now I do not have the opportunity to host, as I have just moved to Portland, OR in August and there is no room in my tiny studio...

A little more about me:
In general, I am easy to be around... I like to dance, laugh, drink, mountain bike, snow board, see new places and meet new people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I was in Europe I surfed through Ireland, France, Germany, Austria and Italy. I then flipped roles when I moved back to Lawrence and began hosting when I was available with my 3 other roommates. Now that I am living in Portland I don't have the room to host, however I would still love to show newcomers around and make their Portland experience more amazing! This is such a great way to get out and people- I love it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Dublin, London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, and Florence... Absolutely some of the best experiences of my life! I love the idea of meeting people from across the world and having this completely unique and authentic traveling experience. My hosts showed me such a good time and made my time in their city so wonderful.
I have recently started hosting and it is incredible!
