ABOUT ME

I am a student currently studying abroad for a year in San Diego. Originally I am from Dublin, Ireland, where the sun rarely shines, but it is still a beautiful place. I am studying Electrical Engineering and while it gets pretty intense, I always find the time to participate in everything I can. I love doing things outdoors, especially around the water. I love to try new things and meet new people, so I think couchsurfing is the best way to do this and also to see a new place from a locals perspective.

Interests

I'm big into anything adventurous, especially to do with the water. I'm a strong swimmer and have been sailing since I was 10. I started out learning, but eventfully started competing and teaching others how to sail. I recently started surfing since coming to San Diego. I love the water, but I'm still figuring out how to catch the bigger waves.
I am also interested in hiking, climbing and skiing.
I have a strong interest in technology, especially the latest gadget.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wide Music Taste. I enjoy certain amounts of chart music, but I much prefer bands like U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, The Script, Iglu & Hartly, Kinks, Kooks, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, The Eagles.

My favorite Movies include: American Beauty, Avatar, Rear Window,

Climbing to the top of Yosemite Falls and being able to look out across the entire valley
