A born and raised Tenerifian, I feel lucky to call this beautiful island my home and I want to show the world this little piece of heaven on Earth. This diverse island also instilled me diverse interests and perspectives. I am slowly working my way to complete the Tour de Tenerife on my bicycles as well to truly enjoy the nature, friendship and food here.

I have been working as a firefighter for 17 years and it is a pleasure to serve the communities I so love. During my spare time, I like to improve my English by reading English articles daily. I also have a deep interest in science, health and balanced life style. Other than sharing laughters and drinks with my firefighter brothers and my cyclist buddies, I like to travel, explore new places, different cultures and getting to know people from all walks of life! Moreover, food is a vice of mine but I´d like to keep it moderate. What I have discovered is that a beer (or a wine) a day, keeps the doctors away :D

I care deeply about my families, friends (and the friends to be), and my communities. The other secret of longevity is to share laughters and good times with these people I care about so you might see me walking around talking to the restaurant owners :P and people on the streets. So I prefer social life over social media, so I don´t have a Facebook account or other social media accounts :P

I would so love to share my passions for my island with the world and explore the world from the locals´ eyes, ears, tongues and noses. I believe such beauty in the world is to be shared and couchsurfing is the perfect platform to do so.

I also want to join the members here to show the hospitality, humor and kindness of the people of my island. I first heard about the website from a fellow firefighter this year (2018), who brought me to some couchsurfing events here, which I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations I had with people from around the world! The vibe and exhilaration of traveling and meeting new people are invigorating, it opens up the imagniation and opportunities of whatelse I haven´t seen and what other life-long friends I haven´t met, which makes me want to explore the world further! So I signed up to share some spontaneous adventures and conversations.

I will be travelling through New Zealand and Australia with my firefighting friend from Jan-Apr 2019. We would like to learn more about the philosphy of couchsurfing and the joy of life, and have a fuller experience of other cultures with locals.

It´s difficult to point out one favourite or favourites, because I enjoy the diversity of experiences various music, movies and books bring me. Each genre opens up a new perspective to explore and enjoy, and each type has something that is irreplacable by other forms of music, movies and books. So, I am happy to take any suggestions for new music, movies and books to enjoy :D

This was a miracle ; it´s not really of what I have done, but I feel extremely lucky to be alive. There was once a big fire in a building. We went in to rescue people; thankfully, everyone already got out safely. So as soon as my coworker and I exited the building, the roof collapsed, missing us by a mere second.

Teach: I can teach Spanish, techniques of firefighting, techniques of bicycling long distances and uphills, and exercising/weight-lifting. I can also teach the metropolitan-dewllers of how to relax and taking it easy like a real islander

I would love to learn English, phrases from other languages, different cultures, cuisines, and subjects about philosphy, science, medicine, health, and nature

Not only can I share my flat, I can also share the world I grew up in, the beautiful island of Tenerife, laughters, friendship, conversations and a long-lived life through beer, wine and food :D
