About Me
Hey!
I'm Rayen and im 21 years old and study Electrical engineering and Information technology. I'm a human right activist, a member of a worldwide exchange organisation ( AIESEC ) and an amateur singer ( don't get me wrong im a good one :D). I had the chance to meet people all over the world and to build a very strong contact with them which contributed in developing my personality with time making me more tolerant and able to accept any kind of ideas that the other believed in. Travelling and meeting international people taught me that is impossible to live isolated from society and without getting integrated into it and one of the keys is to try learning as many languages as you can. People appreciate it. you don't need to be perfect or fluent. it is more of letting the person sitting next to you to know that you are putting an effort and that you are trying to go along and understand their culture. It is one of the core values that i believe in and which did not only help me on the social way but as well on a professional manner.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The concept of travelling has changed for me, since i've met a german friend who made me believe that it is not about the luxurious place you are staying in or how much money do you spend. As an immature kid i used to care a lot about where we are staying and how many fancy stuff can we get out of the trip and to spend money in all the directions. A wrong idea that i had at an early age is that happiness is definitely related to money based on the high status that our family have. Travelling is no longer a matter of only having fun rather than understanding other cultures and get rid of the stereotypes. The most important thing is to be able to listen, understand people and be able to express your ideas freely. If you are not able to travel then you can easily bring the world and other culture to your doors and it is basically what made me join CS .

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Pop / Rock/Rap (only few for the lyrics Nf and Sik World) : Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Our last night, Eden, Justin Bieber, Neffex, Nf, Sik world , Skillet ... Basically anything emotional with good vocals , no autotune in it till it makes it sounds robotic and strong lyrics
I'm mainly an amateur singer( make acoustic versions as I don't like to use of non-instrumental beats) willing to take it to the next level after my studies and still need to deal with my fear of singing in front of peoples and only a few of my closest friends know about it , even though I did it twice in a public place ( was basically motivated by a street performer playing guitar in a public street at "Marienplatz", so I joined him and helped him make some extra earnings ( it is not like im saving his day . he was really very talented and was able to play and sing very well) and once in a student coffee shop where I wasn't satisfied with the music so I offered him to stick on playing the guitar and take the vocal part . ( + i do it on daily basis while taking showers :D :D ) . The huge problem that I'm lacking the ability to be an " all you can do singer" like Ed or Shawn where they can perform on their own because they master playing the guitar ( :'( don't worry i will try to learn )
Movies:
- Comedy : Big mama , Central intelligence , American Pie
- Horror : the Purge
-Action : Undisputed , Never Back down , Eagle eye ...
-Docummentaries / IT : Snowden
- Inspiring movies : Wonder
- High school : Tall Girl , The After Party , Oh ramona
Books : A lot of varity that is very hard to pick from like Dickens literature, Virginia Woolf: a room of one's own, Wilian Faulkner , George orwell . However !! my favourite of 2019 published books is Where the crawdads sing by Delia Owens

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I believe it is our duty to do amazing things to change people's life. You cannot imagine how happy I became after putting a smile on someone's face. What we can do is wayyyyy Bigger than what we think we can do. Small actions matter in life so help people whenever you can without waiting for something in return.
So be kind to the people around you. help them integrate. take the initiative to talk to them because there are people who are lonely and won't take the initiative to talk to you and I m probably the right person to tell you that sometimes we need our privacy but trust me cutting contact with people and putting yourself in your comfort zone is not an option neither because Loneliness and Anxiety are probably the worst things that someone can experience and it is beyond any physical pain
So Help the one in your lecture who is having trouble understanding something . Give a stranger a compliment about how they look or what they are wearing. Make someone's day by buying them a small gift.
but again without expecting the other person to do something back go over the materialism and be kind to others. you can not imagine how much of value it will add to your life. Please don't look of it from a perspective of the things that I've Done more than of advice how to make your life better and to help others around because it is not about what Rayen has made but what he wants the society to be like. Keep moving but on the way take a break and take someone with you and help him /her achieve their dream during your journey. I m more of a person who would give up the win in a race in order to make everyone reach the finish line. keep motivating people around them, help them, be honest of what you think of their goals and advice them on how to achieve it. Don't judge anyone based on his ethnicity, religion, traditions, or their sexual orientation. Humanity should be beyond everything. Learn to be human before being no matter what Christian, jew, Muslim anything. Maybe the amazing thing is not about me but about my parents and the society who taught me some values that I will do anything to defend them
At the end of the day you might get friends that will even surpass blood boundaries by becoming like a family member.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am able to teach you about other cultures and how to survive in a different one in order to get integrated easily in society as well as to develop your personality and how to approach people in order to make of them a potential friend. It is possible as well to share my experience as a member of an international exchange AIESEC and assists in going abroad in volunteering projects which aims to change the world and tackle modern problems + help learning Arabic, french , german and English.
Learn: whatever others are deeply passionate about that will attract my attention added to languages.
