My name is Rayleno and I'm from Brazil. I'm a exchange student at Western Illinois University since August 2014 and I've been studying and improving my English skills for several months and now I'm studying geology.

Living in United States could not be a better experience. I'm in love with the culture and with the people; it's is incredible how different and new is everyday here. I'm very glad to have this opportunity given by the Brazilian government to study abroad and I'm enjoying this name to know a little bit better about the US.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to know few places in US during my stay here. I love traveling, in my opinion it is the best learning experience we can have in life; we can learn a lot about the world and about ourselves when we travel.

I found Couchsurfing a wonderful tool to find places to stay during these trips, meeting new people is always awesome.

It's kinda hard handling with trips around a country being a student, finding a nice place to stay can be a challenge.

Interests

As a geologist I'm very interested in Museums (really, I could spend hours inside Smithsonian) and nature. I'm a book lover and my plan to my old age is living in my own library :)
