I was born in the Philippines and moved to the US when I was 15 years old. I have lived most of my life in Chicago. I also lived in Hawaii for a few years where my love for the outdoors blossomed. One day, I'd like to live surrounded by nature and living off the land where I would grow my own food. I would invite people over to share stories and food we've harvested.

My friends would say I'm a nice, considerate guy who would eat the last slice of pizza to help a friend stay on their diet. Truthfully, I'm just almost always hungry and I happen to like pizza.

I consider myself a giver, a lover of naps, and a do good-er. I smile at most things and talk to plants. Trees don't hug back so I just pet them and occasionally give compliments. I'm comfortable with my peculiarity and appreciate others.

I have been wanting to do this for years. It took a friend to convince me to finally drop my guard and do it!

I've always stayed in hotels and B&B's when I travel to have my own space. I enjoy my privacy but I'm afraid it kept me in my own little bubble. Couchsurfing can be freeing and I intend to meet many people to share stories and interest.

I aim to stop eating meat due to health reasons. Prefers outdoor activity but also enjoys a game of mahjong with friends. Can't talk politics or money to save my life but will listen still.

New Wave is my favorite genre of music. It brings me back memories of a simpler and happy times. My Pandora is set to play music from bands like Depeche Mode, a-Ha, The Human League, Communards, OMD just to name a few.

I don't have a favorite movie genre. I do tend to watch science fiction movies; more like Star Wars less like Star Trek. Here is a short list of DVD movies I managed to collect when Blockbuster were in business; Kung Fu Hustle, Billy Elliot, Fargo, Lars and the Real Girl, Maurice, and Memoirs of a Geisha.

Most of the books I like are from assigned school textbooks. I've kept most of my Psychology and Science books. I also enjoy how-to or reference books. I do not read novels because I have a hard time following the story.

In July 2016, I had the opportunity to visit family in Alaska. I saw a bear with her two cubs, salmon spawning, and a bald eagle catch a prey but the most amazing thing I did, while in Alaska, was ice trekking at Mendenhall Glazier.

When you're tired of listening to me talk about myself I can share my knowledge of drawing with chalk which I didn't know I had until last year. I don't consider myself an artist but people say I'm good at drawing and anything that involves arts & craft. I do think I have a set of skills that I find very helpful when traveling; I can stuff a backpack very well. I'm really organized at work but not at home so I can share my ideas on how to get organized. Okay, that's it for now... Thank you for reading my profile.
