About Me

I grew up in Chicago and I've lived a few places since then. My biggest hobbies right now include rock climbing and yoga. I'm getting better at rock climbing, but yoga is still kicking my butt. I started learning to play the guitar and the piano this winter, but there's not a lot of time to practice after work, yoga, and rock climbing. I just moved to Germany and I'm excited to travel around Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Originally, I heard about Couchsurfing from a friend in Kansas City who had a few great experiences. When I told her I was planning a trip to France, she recommended Couchsurfing as a good way to meet people abroad and discover a great local source of information. I hope for experiences as worthwhile as hers.
Now, I live in Europe and I try to meet people when I travel to enrich the experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is typically indie rock or alternative rock, but I do enjoy a lot of pop, hip hop, folk, rap, and dance music. I enjoy pretty much all kinds of music, but I enjoy country music the least.
I love scary movies, but there aren't a lot of really good scary movies, but I did enjoy Get Out and It recently (sort of recently). After that, I really enjoy science fiction movies, especially if they seem plausible in the not so distant future. I like movies that you have to pay close attention to, movies that make you think. I don't mind action movies if they're fun, but they're usually not great. I can usually appreciate a movie for what it's trying to do, even if I don't love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if this qualifies as amazing, but it was super fun and filled with amazing people. For my cousin's bachelor party, we planned a trip to Zion National Park and spent four days/nights camping, hiking, and canyoneering throughout the park. It was great escape from civilization and another bonding experience between friends and family.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people about my hobbies if they're interested.
I'd love to learn more about the regions I plan on traveling to, including local languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share information about my hobbies and I love learning about and practicing other people's hobbies. I'm also really nice and very clean.
