Overview
About Me
I am 32 years old and from New Jersey, USA. Some of my favorite things include: Reading, Walking, Acting, Beers with Friends, Dancing. I like to joke around a lot. I think that it is a good way to live. I can take things seriously, when that is necessary, but I don't find that it is necessary very often. No food restrictions for me, I try to eat mostly vegetarian but make exceptions for well-raised meat or if I'm a guest in someone's home...or if I'm traveling.
Treat people well. (and that includes oneself!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think CS is a great concept and a great community. It's easy to forget that your country and your perspective do not dominate the universe and hanging with people from other countries is a good way to maintain perspective. And of course...have fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Jackson Browne, Steely Dan, Elvis Costello David Bowie, Neil Young, Warren Zevon, Bruce Springsteen, Steely Dan, folk music.
Books: Some favorites include: Three Musketeers, Lolita, Leaves of Grass, Fabric of the Cosmos, Brave New World, My Antonia.
Movies: Aladdin, Lost In Translation, Naked Gun. Though I want to be an actor, I am not much of a movie buff at all. To my great shame, I have never gotten the drive to go out and watch The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption, and countless other films that make others say, "Whaaaaaaa??? You've never seen __________?? Are you crazy!?"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to play Han Solo in a three act musical entitled: Star Wars! The Musical! It was about as much fun as I have ever had onstage...and maybe off!
Teach, Learn, Share
I really enjoy Math and Science. I studied math in college and have read a bit about quantum physics which I think is utterly fascinating, and (when stripped of its insanely complex mathematical component) is definitely something that can be understood by all. I also like literature, and would be happy to discuss that (from Shakespeare to Harry Potter). Oh, and acting! I would love to teach/learn any of those things!
In the last few years I have been teaching myself how to cook and loving it. I don't get too crazy with my dishes, it's usually hearty, home-style food. I would absolutely love to learn how to cook Indian or Thai food.
