About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and exchange knowledge and culture.

ABOUT ME

Laid back and easygoing. I watch Game of Thrones, read a lot of books, and love nothing more than a great glass of wine/beer/whiskey/coffee (not all at the same time though).

PHILOSOPHY

Live simply and keep a sense of wonder.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in London and Italy, and I've hosted in Tennessee a couple times. All great experiences, and I want to continue to give to the community.

Now, I can't host at my current residence, but I love love love to show people my city (Nashville).

When I travel, I enjoy staying with hosts to get a real local experience, but more than anything I like simply meeting up with locals for drinks, chatting, or whatever the city has to offer.

Interests

I drink a lot of coffee and wine, and I climb as much as possible. I spend summers at music festivals and traveling. I've recently discovered (well, more than a year ago now) the Irish sport of hurling (camogie for the girls) and would love to meet some fellow hurlers and climbers!

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading A Confederacy of Dunces (it's hilarious) and just discovered Gregory Alan Isakov (his lyrics make me feel like I'm somewhere else). Since I reside in Music City, I go to at least one concert a month.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked Hua Shan (close to Xi'an) in China, cited as one of the most dangerous hikes in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach Bio 1 at university. Ask me anything.

I want to learn to cook all of the delicious dishes of the world. Also I like to cook for my hosts; in Italy, I cooked a Southern breakfast for my French hosts. It was a hit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good ol' Southern hospitality

Countries I’ve Visited
