About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Oh, simply. T.R.A.V.E.L. see places, people, cultures and lives. Share and learn.

and

to become super sexy and fit (I realised I have this mission now for years... maybe I should do something about it...).

ABOUT ME

Oh, I... hmm... like to travel (like everyone on Couchsurfing), take pictures, dance, visit friends, cook, bake cakes, go diving, hike, volleyball, read, tan myself on a great beach or on my balcony, do things together with friends, did I mention travel?

Oh, I like to work as well. And be challenged.
Lived, studied and worked in various places (and this is an ongoing thing) and I would like to extend the list because living in a country for longer gives me much more than simple tourism.

Also, I should say at this point that I am gay, vegetarian, not religious, hmm... any more boxes that I can tick? It sounds bad, but I am not a walking cliche. I am just saying this in case you are homophobe, xenophobe, sexy-person-phobe or any other blobs and phobs there are out there.

After living for 6 years in Cotonou, Benin, I moved to Germany for work. Now based in Frankfurt!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an asymmetric sinus function.

and

I am a balanced person. I think. :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed more than hosted, and I look forward to changing this imbalance again. Although I have to admit, I am quite picky with my hosts and guests :P and friends and boyfriends. At least I am consistent.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

By now, I have had some couchsurfing experience and one would think that I got used to the whole system. Well, I have to say, regardless of how many people I meet through couchsurfing, I am always amazed and surprised by how nice, kind, helpful, open, friendly or smart people are and it has been (almost) always a pleasure to meet them. I don't think I can ever get bored of this! Thanks to everyone. :)

But I am pretty much done with sleeping on the floor in someone's kitchen. Been there, done that, now I am older and wiser, and I value a good night's sleep and comfort. Luxury couch surfing it is!

Interests

Oh, so many things.
Environmental, political, international, developmental, gender, social, science stuff

I like travelling (obviously :P ) and meeting new people. Oh, and I like maps! (quite geeky, I know) :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, sad films, happy music, films that make me think and music that makes me shake my booty. Give me afrobeats, reggaeton, rnb, salsa or 90s-00s music and I'm happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in the Philippines and told everyone I work as a go-go dancer (not my real job... obviously :P) but it made for some very interesting conversations.

Teach, Learn, Share

Oh, just stop me when I talk too much. :) I get excited when I meet people and then go on talking.

I can teach people how to book cheap flights and maximise on air miles and status, some (limited) vegetarian cooking, some (also limited but expanding) baking. Computers generally like me, so I am quite good with technical stuff and I am quite opinionated, which makes for good discussions.

However, since I know my own views, I find it more interesting to listen to other people's opinions, so please share. :) unless I am being arrogant, then please call me on it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My wisdom, since I cannot share my good looks.
Certainly not my chocolate.
Maybe dinner :)
