About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun being me!

ABOUT ME

I ski, rock climb, mountain bike, cook almost all my own meals, brew about half the beer I drink, ride my bike to work, make meaningless attempts to tire out my dog, camp when I travel, read books when I find the time, and fold my own laundry. I'm learning Polish, took French and Latin in high school, and have a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's Rad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few couchsurfers so far, and traveled as a couchsurfer a few times as well. Some of the friends I've made in the WA area have been through Couchsurfing as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to pretty much anything from bluegrass to dubstep, just no country music.
As far as movies go, I'm just not much of an action buff. I will enjoy any movie with a solid plot or some clever humor.
I'm not much of a book reader but I do try hard to keep on top of finishing the books that I have on my list. Some of my favorites along the way include Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Einstein's Dreams, The Hobbit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding across the state of Iowa with 10,000 plus other cyclists. Seven days of working hard, playing hard, eating lots of food (pie), and overlooking corn fields as far as the eye can see.

Teach, Learn, Share

Be courteous. A little chivalry goes a long way in our extremely impersonal and fast-paced world.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
