ABOUT ME

I've been known for 'smiling too much' and generally being a happy and outgoing person - people also describe me as if I've walked straight out of the 80s: I love my Dr Martens and 'The Smiths'! I actively seek out new experiences and enjoy living life to the full and making friends (especially with those who are my opposite!), but I'm not too frivolous - you'll often find me with my head in a book/watching a documentary/trying to finish my university essays on time. Music is a VERY big part of my life, and I sing, play piano and trumpet and bass, as well as composing and taking the opportunity to perform as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life in line with Sartre's existential philosophy - only we are in control of our own lives, so if stuff goes wrong, don't blame anyone else, and always create your own rules and never bend to anyone else's!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Am new to CS, although willing to host guests (probably max for 1 night) in Cambridge (where I study) during term time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very new to CS, although looking forward to editing this following some epic travel this summer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the sheer vastness of the Serengeti first hand was pretty hard to beat!
And although little, the beauty of the black mountains in Herefordshire top my hiking list!

Teach, Learn, Share

As a student, I have extremely few practical skills! Would happily teach english, piano, singing, trumpet, bass, ancient greek (if you're up for it!) or impart knowledge on topics I'm interested in as part of my degree (namely french and german philosophy!)
