Overview
About Me
I'm a brazilian Materials Engineering student, even thou my heart belongs to Humanities. Currently I'm living in Germany to develop a research project. My field of study is glass science and I really like to think that my research is going to have some kind of good impact in the world. Even if it is just a tiny bit. I'm a decent cooker and have a very passionate relationship with the art of cooking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To exchange cultural experiences while visiting different places. Back in Brazi, I never had the opportunity to travel that much, and as I'm in Europe, I want to make the best of it.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite book authors are Murakami, Machado de Assis, Phillip K Dick, Arthur C Clark, Vonnegut, Lovecraft ans so on. Mostly scifi authors. As of movies, I really enjoy the works of Tarantino, Coen brothers, Riddley Scott, Lars von Trier and loads of others. I'm kind of a netflix junkie. So yeah, i watch quite a lot of tv shows as well. As of music, I'm into shoegaze, lo fi, some indie rock, some alt rap and stuff like that. Some examples are: MBV, Slowdive, The Mountain Goats, Kimya Dawson, Sledding with tigers, The moldy peaches, Beirut, Globelamp, Cyberbully Mom Club, Mac Demarco, Radiohead, andThe Smiths.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once made a rocket using two plastic bottles, some tape and a golf ball. The launch station was made with plastic pipes and the rocket fuel was based in a reaction between vinegar and sodium bicarbonate. It flew over 140m in distance.
Teach, Learn, Share
Denitely cooking. I love cooking and I love eating. You can't summarize a whole culture into a meal, but a full belly is pretty important. I can share some basics of portuguese as well, some knowledge about coffe and cachaças and glasses (it sound boring, I know, but is nice field of science). I really would enjoy learning local culture as well. Museums, art galleries, History and correlated.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Brazilian cooking and anything related to cooking. And the other things i've mentioned previously.
