About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Road tripping from my hometown Edmonton out into the unknown. Headed to see my sister in Toronto and then as far east as I can go and then South.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently taking a break from living in one place to go on an exploratory adventure after spending 4 years statically in my hometown. I sold the business that was holding me there and now I'm free to roam again.

PHILOSOPHY

don't worry be happy?
i really like quoting other people because... i donno, it's easier to be spoken to than to speak? deriving internalized meaning from experience versus trying to express it... so on that note, lost in translation was an awesome movie:
The more you know who you are and what you want, the less you let things bother you.
please don't misinterpret this for any type of goal-orientated lifestyle... i totally haven't figured that stuff out yet

but enough rambling...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: i've seen waaay waay waay too many of these the past few years. The more obscure the better, just ask me... but i'll make a list here one day.

Books: i don't read these enough, it's annoying not being able to grep em. for a list though...:
anything by Aldous Huxley.
anything by H.S.T.
The Mind Within the Net by Manfred Spitzer(i think) was an awesome intro into neural networking, got me fixated on that area of study for a long time.
suggestions?

Music: anything that i haven't already heard 6/60/600 times in the last day/week/month. huge punk fan, affinity for classic rock, always into folk, making music with electronics is cool too, once again, the more alternative the better... but some main-stream stuff hooks me the right way too. if you have stuff i haven't heard, i want to hear it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

seen Xavier Rudd at the Windspear Center in Edmonton.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good with tech and electronics, I love to cook and have done so professionally for several years. I don't generally follow recipes, I just usually dream something up based on the tastes and resources at hand.

I love to hear about people's travels and just new and different experiences in general. I feel like I have all this freedom now to explore so inspiration as towards direction and what not is always valued.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Given a stove top, a pan and directions to the nearest market I can cook you up something unique that you've never had before.

Love to exchange music. It's really fun to hear what someone likes and then try and recommend related stuff that they haven't heard.
