ABOUT ME

I just returned to Austin after an amazing summer living in Bodø, Norway. While living in Bodø, I conducted interviews with CouchSurfers as part of a research project. Now that I'm back in Austin, I'm working on transcribing the interviews and turning the great information into presentations and articles for my PhD program.

A little about me: I laugh a lot, love to explore new things, and can't wait to climb and hike through everything Norway has to offer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've currently only surfed, but hope to being hosting. The life of a PhD student is always hectic so my schedule is extremely unpredictable, but I'm hoping to still find time to share my space.

I do know that Austin is a hot spot for festivals and concerts, and I normally have friends staying with me during that time, so my couch will be unavailable. If there is a request during ACL or SXSW, I may not be able to respond quickly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my year on CS, I've had the amazing opportunity to stay with, meet up, and hang out with some amazing CouchSurfers.

兴趣

Music. Running. Friends. When I'm not at work or running, I'm often hanging out with friends or relaxing at home. The past two years have been filled with amazing trips around the US visiting friends, going to weddings, and exploring.

Like I said earlier, I'm open to learning, lots. Going for my PhD should be proof enough of my desire to learn. I'm especially interested in people and the relationships we develop.
