Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During the academic year I live in a student dorm in Trier, Germany so it's not so suitable to host anybody with great expectations there, but it's not impossible, it could be a good adventure :) During the summer I live in family house in Jadranovo near Crikvenica, but also have an empty apartment in Rijeka (in which my sister lives during the academic year) so I can offer couch or more there :) On the other hand, I love to travel and I travel often, but there are so many more amazing places to visit and people to meet, so CS is definitely a great way to achieve both, especially the latter :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I showed a Czech couchsurfers around my city (Crikvenica, Croatia), but they had an accommodation in a hotel, so we were just hanging out together... In the May/June 2014 I was surfing in Zurich, Switzerland with my friends and we met wonderful Lena and her roommates. Alberto hosted me and my friends in Parma, Italy in September 2014 and it was another great experience so I'm definitely looking forward to next surfing and hosting adventures :)

Interessen

My biggest passions are traveling and music. I travel whenever I'm able to and it's my favorite thing to spend my savings on. I love to visit concerts, especially when they are in a place I've never been to before :) I'm studying IT and German language, but I also play in two orchestras (traditional Croatian instrument tamburica) and I used to play the guitar in a rock band. I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, friends and family, going out and so on :) I donate blood regularly and I collect Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirts and hoodies :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I don't judge movies by genre, I give every film a shot :) But mostly I enjoy thriller movies, sometimes also comedies, action movies... I love European cinematography, it's hard to say which movies are the best, but the ones I've seen in the last few years that were great were for example Taken, Unknown, The Skin I Live In, Le Havre... Some of my favorite music bands are Alter Bridge, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave, Foo Fighters... I love reading and I've been doing a lot of it, both for the studies and in the free time. I am a fan of Dan Brown novels and in the moment I'm into crime novels (currently reading lots of Jo Nesbø)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One of the best moments in my life so far was founding an ancient amphora while working on an archeological ruins as a summer job :) Another thing that left me speechless was the view from the top of the Eiffel tower in Paris and other viewpoints in other cities, then rowing and sailing at the Finnish lakes and so on. Great moments were also seeing my favorite bands play live in a concert: Alter Bridge, RHCP, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Bon Jovi, U2, Rammstein, Slash,...

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach you to play tamburica and lots about the rich Croatian culture, history... :) I also love learning new stuff about other countries and cultures, but I also love to get the feel how the people live in their countries, so I can also help you to get to know how do the Croats/Germans live :)

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

Definitely lots of respect for them and their homes, exchange of stories, experiences, laughs and lots more :)
