About Me

Hi! I'm an Aquarius that enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, fire spinning, slacklining, reading, skateboarding, foraging, learning, and a ton of other activities that make me, me. I currently live in California/Ecuador and work as a wildlife rehabilitator in the Ecuadorian amazon, as a zip tour forest guide (summer), and a Ski instructor (winter) in Lake Tahoe. I love to meet new people and can find fun in damn near anything, I'm always up for a little adventure! Mucho Gusto!

Nice to meet you!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste varies day to day honestly, but lately I've been into lofi rap, classical, Brazilian samba, reggaeton, bass, Indie, and Chinese traditional. Some of my favorite artists (for the moment haha) are Chance the Rapper, Samsa, Little Comets, Rosalia, Anderson .Paak, Glass Animals, Still Woozy, Fatoumata Diawara, Mac Miller, Earth Wind & Fire, Foster the People, Tame Impala, and tons more. I'm always looking for new stuff from all genres! I believe you can find something good in just about everything.

For movies that varies but my favorite actors are Leonardo Dicaprio, Angelina Jolie, Childish Gambino, and Emma Stone. Anything involving them I'm pretty down with, but I'll watch whatever! Sundance films are some of my goto's.

I'm a bookworm, so this unfortunately is too long of a list for couchsurfing haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I work in wildlife rehabilitation on the outskirts of the ecuadorian jungle, and one time we took in a three-toed sloth that had gotten hit by a vehicle. I did his stitches and organized his physical rehab myself, and we eventually released him near our facility, where we monitored his location daily as he climbed further and further away. I never realized how beautiful (and fiesty!) they could be. Everyday is a new day at this job, from making friendships with macaw parrots and matchmaking between tamarin monkeys to cuddling with coatis and sneaking around sleeping kinkajous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you fire spinning! I work with hoops, double staffs, and palm candles. Flow is also fun when it's not on fire too, so if you want to learn some fun alternative dance styles, we can find a nice spot in a park to try it out!

We can slackline (like tightrope walking) at a park, I've taught many people before and they pick it up super fast!

I'm nearly fluent in Spanish, so if you speak the language we can help eachother out, or I can teach you what I know too (:

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to swap stories, especially with people with cultures very different from mine. I'm also always down to jam sesh, I sing and play guitar so we can make some music too! I'm just interested in human connection and how our society/background go hand in hand with how we live and the things we experience to influence who we are. I'd love to just sit and chat over tea, or bike around the city, or really anything.
