Hi! I’m Rebeca, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’m a Physical Education teacher and a canine trainer. I work at the international airport in Buenos Aires helping control restricted food products entering the country, and I also work with detector dogs.

I love staying active: running, training, dancing and anything related to movement. I also really enjoy creative things like drawing, painting and theater. Acting and storytelling are passions of mine.

I speak Spanish and English, and I’m always curious about different cultures, ideas and ways of living. I like meeting people, having good conversations, sharing food and learning something new from every place and every person.

I consider myself open-minded, friendly and respectful. I’m happy to share a walk, a meal, a wine and story or a laugh with people from around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I desire to explore the world and meet the people who live in it. I’m interested in discovering other cultures, different ways of living, and listening to the stories of people who were born and raised in places very different from my own.

I also like the idea of sharing my own story, my culture, and my country. Argentina is a bit at the “end of the world,” and I often feel that many people miss out on all the beautiful things we have: our way of life, our food, our long conversations over mate, and the way we welcome others.

For me, Couchsurfing is about connection: traveling, learning, sharing, and creating small moments that bring people from different parts of the world together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I go through many different genres and you might find me listening to Radiohead, Linkin Park, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, The Beatles, Djo, old reggaeton to dance to, and any kind of jazz to listen to live or in the background.

Movies: So many! But some favorites are Cinema Paradiso, Boogie Nights, Interstellar, Rocky, La La Land, Whiplash, and pretty much all the movies directed by or starring Clint Eastwood.

Books: I’m more into theater plays and Argentine classics. My favorite writer is Borges, and I also love the graphic novel El Eternauta.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing experiences with the people who host me. I enjoy cooking, so I’d be happy to prepare an Argentine meal or share mate and long conversations.

I’m also a canine trainer, so if you have a dog I’d be glad to share some training tips.

I love theater, stories and culture, so I enjoy exchanging ideas, talking about movies, books, and life in different parts of the world.

And of course, I’m always happy to help around the house and contribute however I can.
