Overview
About Me
I am from Detroit and have lived in Barcelona and LA but my favorite place in the world is San Francisco where I currently reside, kind of (true favorite is Savannah Georgia but I can not get my daughters dad to visit because he is a black lives matter "die hard" news article reader and afraid he might get shot.) I recently graduated from graduate school which, took forever because, well, I made a human life at the same time. My daughter Iris is 2.5 years old not XX months old. She is smarter than me and I am not going to be able to afford her college tuition next year but thats ok, she will get a genius scholarship. I like to travel, hike, and I am a freak when it comes to food, I grow it, study its chemical background, its gastronomy, rate too many restaurants on yelp and have even managed its business production from a truck.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am moving very reluctantly to Seattle as my daughters Dad aka. Papa just got a job and home there. I am super happy for him but not so happy for me not being able to take the job I was just about to be offered in SF. I will be looking for temp housing while I job search Seattle. I am looking forward to you convincing me that Seattle is a wonderful place to live and meeting my Genius 2 year old daughter.
Music, Movies, and Books
Green Day, Calle 13, Michael Buble, Kenny Chesney, and much more. If you ask my daughter my favorite music is Julieta Venegas and she will refuse to watch any video except Me Voy. Books, what? I am an architect, we read coffee table books with big pictures. No really I like the really old American classic Poets book on the back of toilet because it reminds me of when I could take a whole day to read a book but it only takes a few min's to read before I have to go back to my whining daughter. I really like Giraffe's Cant Dance the kids book. Movies, we just recently saw this Norwegian movie on netflix that made my daughter freak out and cry because the human girl's mom dies and turns in to a seal, then the girl turns into a seal. It was beautiful.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have climbed toe jam with John Long right behind me. I have successfully traversed a sea of Barca fans with a chain of six friends holding hands in plaza cataluna (Barcelona) after the soccer team won the kings cup.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to cook stuff, the best biscuits in the world. I can teach you about storm water infrastructure or how to draw public outreach note taking icons. Would love to learn more about Seattle. Share a cup of tea.
