Hi!
My name is Rebecca Dammen, I am 20 years old, and my place of birth is Porsgrunn, Norway.

My life started off in a small town in Norway. But as soon as i turned 17 I realized that this is not for me. I need to see more and explore both the beautiful contry I live in, and eventually the world. So I moved to Trondheim, Norway. One of the most beautiful big cities we have over here. I finished off high school and worked until I turned 20.

I started learning dutch in april 2016, and I have reached the B1/B2 level on the european scale. In july this summer I went to Amsterdam to start my very first own adventure in another country. This awesome girl offered me a bedroom to rent for a good price, and I just freelanced in the restaurant business while learning dutch and getting the most interesting friends you can imagine.

My passions are travelling, languages, music, art and design.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spontaneously moved to Amsterdam by my self without a "safe" purpose. Just had a little bit of money (very little) saved up, and decided to go. I worked different jobs in the hotel and restaurant business. I managed to stay for about 4 months before I had to return to Norway, I realized I was earning too little compared to my money use. Luckily I will be going back for my studies!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you Norwegian, Swedish, some dutch.

I can bring you to my favorite places in Amsterdam and tell you why I think those places are so charming. For example my favorite punk bar from the 70s which is incredibly charming, and has cheap drinks.
