About Me

To see as much of the world as I can during the next year, and meet many new friends along the way.

I'm laid back and easy going, and I can get along easily with most people. I'd say I'm just an average girl and I'm pretty down to earth. I'm kind of a kid trapped in an adult's body, and actually, most people who know me have witnessed me break out into song and dance randomly. I don't have a career, and I'm still not sure what I want to do when I grow up. I just know that I want an adventurous life exploring the world and experiencing all that it has to offer.

Put simply; Love and respect yourself and others.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I am new to the world of couchsurfing on a global scale, but have definitely crashed on a few beds and floors in my lifetime. I've stayed with friends, and friends-of-friends, and relatives I'd never met, while moving within the city, or across the country to a different city altogether. I can't recall an unpleasant experience doing so.

Listening to music of all kinds, being outdoors, gardening, sustainable living/homesteading, good conversations over coffee, ice cream, vegetarianism, cooking, baking, going to the movies, traveling, learning new things.

Music, Movies & Books

I enjoy listening to most genres of music, although some more than others. Typically I'll go for folk, blues, country, dance, rock, and electronic.
I'm a big fan of Johnny Depp, most superhero movies, and I love a good Comedy.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I went on a safari in Kenya several years ago, and it was one of the coolest experiences of my life. The animals, the scenery, and our guides were all unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little bit about a lot of things and I've dabbled in many areas, but I'm far from an expert in any any of them. I've painted houses (interior and exterior), taken a hairdressing course (but did not complete because my school went under), assisted with chores in a horse barn, owned a cleaning business for 3 years, and much more. I can cook a few traditional mennonite meals and I'm capable of doing minor clothing alterations with a sewing machine.
I've always wanted to be fluent in another language (or several languages). I took french in school up to grade 7, but have since then lost most of what I learned. I'd love to get that knowledge back, and then some.
I also took guitar lessons for a little while and would love for someone to teach me more.

Countries I've Visited
