About Me

I love travelling! Especially to places where I can go back to nature, to the simplest ways of living. Anywhere from the oceans to the mountains to the jungles, I'll be excited to go!

I've also been described by people around me as overly spontaneous and unrealistically optimistic, but what fun is there in only doing things you are prepared for all the time?

I guess the only people who are less than impressed with me are my parents who believe that I should be making more conventional and traditional choices in my lifestyle. But it's okay, I can live with the nagging. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to experience my travels in a more authentic and native way of living. I would also like to meet more locals on my trips because I believe the people I meet are the ones who will truly enrich my experience.

Interests

I read and do simple crafts in my free time. Most played sport will be basketball. I love typography but the best I can do is copy. I can also play the piano and I'm currently learning how to play the ukulele. I'm also interested in learning as many things as I possibly can. I've tried scuba diving, rock climbing, kayaking, muay thai boxing, ballet, violin and many more! For now, I guess the only activity that has failed to pique my interest is fishing. Lol.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Oldies! I love old school songs like Abba, Carpenters (that kind of era) etc. I also enjoy musicals.
I'm usually not very in tune with times so by the time I actually hear a mainstream pop song and start liking it I'm mostly 2 years late.
I love old Cantopop and Mandopop songs!
I also appreciate classical music (only if the piece isn't too long).

Movies: I enjoy watching most genre but my ultimate favourite would be horror flicks. Too bad I don't have friends who share my passion.

Books: Inspirational books like those from Mitch Albom, fiction novels of love or crime or humour, self-help books, non-fiction biographies.

I think the only stuff I would prefer to not watch/read would be those with science-fiction-alien-futuristic materials.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would like to say solve world hunger or found the cure for greed and selfishness but I don't think I've ever done anything that's change-the-world kind of amazing. I do, however, have quite a number of fun-loving, kind, loyal friends, so I'd think I must have done something quite remarkable to be able to keep all these amazing people on my side. I just don't really know what it is.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that banging your head against the wall burns 150 calories an hour?

Neither do I. I just googled "random facts".

Ask me anything! I don't promise to know the answer but I promise I will try to find out if I don't.

"We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone."
