About Me

I was born in Taiwan and came to Australia when I was 9 years old and have lived in Australia since.

I live in a state well known for its beautiful garden and plantation and in a city where people have a strong passion for coffee - Melbourne, Victoria. Growing up in Australia has introduced me to meeting people from different countries and I have learnt to embrace different cultures.

At home I speak Chinese and the end of each year I visit Taiwan as most of my family live there - these are the reasons why I am still fluent in Chinese. Coming from a Chinese background, I understand the importance of family and the reason for my love for food. I like to try different foods, be open minded and believe in giving all the different foods from different countries a try.

I am a strong believer in recycling so I buy most of my items second hand. The fact that I am giving other people's unwanted belongings a new life makes me happy that I'm doing my small part for the world.

I enjoy staying at home however, I feel like I have been in my shell for too long and wish to see other parts of the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I currently have a friend living with me who has had a lot of experience couchsurfing. She has told me so many lovely stories which has got me interested and wanting to try. I believe in the kindness of people and couchsurfing is a testimonial of this.

On couchsurfing, I'm mostly looking for simple, helpful and open-minded people, to help a traveler and hopefully share a few experiences. Discover magnificent cities/villages or just a coffee with someone who likes a good laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled to Tibet when I was still studying in University. Surviving 7000 metres above sea level and meeting people who live simple farming lives was pretty amazing.
