About Me

Some call me a joie de vivre. I have spent four years living abroad in the Philippines. I was working at NGO focused on youth programs and reproductive health education for young mothers in marginalized communities. I am now on my journey back to Washington, DC USA. I start graduate school in August taking up Sustainable International Development.
I really enjoy learning from people. I believe that is how we grow.

I am a vegetarian but flexible!!!! Not a stickler in a crunch! I try to be conscious about what I am eating. I crossed over to the green side about 2 years ago, I find when traveling it can difficult. More than open to support! I.e: directions to the nearest veggie spot!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am really interested in the culture exchange/learning part of traveling. I believe it is extremely important to be a conscious and culturally sensitive traveler. I want to be sure to observe local customs in a respectful manner and I am hoping my couch surfing hosts can help me out with that. :)

Interests

I love trekking, scuba diving, kundalini yoga, exercise, weight lifting, meeting people, poetry, photography, trying out my craft in the kitchen, laughing: lots of laughing, dancing and exchanging experiences and wisdom.
I really enjoy getting to know people and their stories.
