IlI've had the pleasure of traveling all around the country and to several places outside of the United States and I love how traveling opens your mind and gives you a new view of the world! I would love to help other people do that by offering a free place to stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and if I can keep the cost down I can do it more often! When I travel I always go out of my way to find the "local" stuff. I don't tend to like the touristy areas. Couchsurfing will allow me a more local experience.

I enjoy meeting new and different people and look forward to hosting!

Interests

Cooking, biking, walking, canoeing, hiking, yoga, travel, remodeling, seeing new things. I don't like normal shopping but I love antique stores or better yet junk stores; I love finding a treasure.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read mostly non-fiction, a lot of psychology books. I love to learn. My favorite fiction book is The Poisonwood Bible.

I hardly ever watch movies but I think my favorite is When a Man Loves a Woman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fun Amazing: I took a month long trip to Asia. We visited 4 different countries and saw some beautiful sites and met wonderful people.

Sad Amazing: One on the greatest honors of my life was taking care of my mother while she was battling cancer. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done but I was able to spend a lot of time with her, show her the love and respect she deserved until her last breath.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am clean, quiet and polite. I am happy to not be seen or heard if that is what the host is looking for or be part of the family. Either is fine with me. I love to cook and when traveling don't get the chance so I would welcome the opportunity to provide some baked goods or a home cooked meal. I love pets and would be happy to assist with pet care.

I have been very lucky to have traveled a lot and would love to share stories and advice on travel.
