I am a 24 year old Masters student currently living in the United Kingdom in Leeds though I am originally from a very small town in Canada. I love to travel and meet new people. I have a passion for music and art as well as history, particularly European history. Travelling is so much fun for me because I love to immerse myself in different cultures and see different ways of life.
I also love doing yoga and try to be physically active as much as I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing, first of all, because i love to travel and meet new people. I also think that couchsurfing is a great way to see a different side of new places. You often get the chance to see the local perspective rather than just the tourist perspective. I also think that it's great you get to stay with all sorts of new people who may not expect anything in return and then you get to host someone else and give them an experience that they otherwise may not get!

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much love all music, I have an eclectic mix of music in my library but my number one favorite band is The Beatles.

Favourite Movies are always hard because it depends on my mood but I'd say Gladiator, Across the Universe, P.S I love you, and Pride and Prejudice are some of my top choices.

I can't even come close to naming just one favourite book because I love to read and I'll read pretty much anything and everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took the plunge and moved across the pond for a year, scariest thing I've ever done but I won't ever regret it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help with English if you're learning and I love to learn new languages as well. I'm currently working on French and Italian. I've done quite a bit of French but am not fluent. I can read it much better than I can speak it but I'd like to work on it a lot more to become fluent. My Italian is extremely basic but again I'd love to be fluent in that as well so it'd be nice to be able to practice my languages with fellow couchsurfers!
I also play the piano so I could probably teach some basic piano if that's what you're into!
