About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling in Asia for 50 days - ongoing - therefore I cannot host anyone.

ABOUT ME

I'm quite a wicked girl. I guess I would also describe me as pretty down to earth and chill, but at the same time spontaneous and joyfull. Love walking in the woods and talking while having a cup of tea as much as I like to get drunk and dance my ass off.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live by hakuna matata :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I humbly make use of others hospitality and do enjoy sharing my own!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since 2012 I have both been a host several times and been hosted by some wonderful people in Norway. Last summer I had my first experiences with couchsurfing and fell head over heels in love with this absolutely wonderful concept! Like when I was offered to sleep on a boat, but another couchsurfer answered first. I told the boat owner I already had a place to stay but would be glad to hang out - which we did, and he and his boat were totally awesome! Couchsurfing makes my heart flutter for humanity.

Interests

I like to swim, in oceans or lakes. Also like to go on hikes. Enjoy being outdoors, basically. But I do think it's nice to be inside as well, especially during the winter, just hanging out with friends.
There's tons of other things I like to do, to much to name them all, really. I'm up for most things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of watching cool and surreal movies, preferably animated. But anything works really, although I seldom endure watching chickflicks (find most of them too shallow and predictable).
I listen to music almost everyday and love to find new stuff that I like... the latest finding is a solo artist called Matthew E. White. But my long term love in a band belongs to Queen. Tips on some new good tunes to update my playlists with is always welcome!
All I have been reading at uni has weakened the longing for indulging in different kinds of litterature... but lately the spirit for stories has sprouted! Two of my favorite authors is Haruki Murakami and Hunter S. Thompson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trip to Australia was the single biggest thing that's ever happened to me. I just had the best time and, sorry for the cliché, but it's true - really got to know myself and learned a lot of things about everything. I got reminded about this during my latest long term visit abroad, in Thailand.
I realize I'll never learn enough, and I'm set on just keep on learning. An awesome quote in this aspect summarizes my thoughts perfectly well:
"I don't know who I am, but you know, life is for learning."
- Woodstock, Joni Mitchell.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a great special skill. I know how to get really happy about tiny, simple stuff. Like seeing a cool bumblebee in the grass or enjoy looking at the world upside down - just because I can (and it's funny seeing people walk when your head is turned another way than usual). But I do also think it's important to be comfortable with a negative state of mind.
"Why do you laugh so much?"
"It's because I cry a lot."
Welcome all kinds of feelings, when they come. I think that's a great way to handle yourself.
