About Me

UPDATE:
Due to lots of video shooting at home and crazy busy schedule, I’m not able to host any more and honestly I can't commit to meeting up with couchsurfers either. Hopefully I'll open up to meeting people again in the future.

DO NOT REQUEST if you:
- try to hook up with girls through CS
- have zero references
- just want to know where I took my profile photo
- are allergic to cat hair
- request for only one night or for dates more than 2 weeks ahead (my schedule is unpredictable)
- are a party animal and just need a free place to crash during the day
- don’t think you can survive in a foreign country so you need a free translator and tour guide from CS
- copy and paste requests without even making an effort to write my name

ABOUT ME
I’m a freelancer who does multiple jobs but most importantly a content creator: I blog and vlog about food-centered lifestyle in Shanghai. If you are a huge foodie and/or art lover, we are speaking the same language!

CURRENT MISSION
I’m working on discovering cool places (cafes, bars and restaurants) and connecting with cool people in Shanghai, as well as promoting the local part of Shanghai where the spirit of the colonial times survives and and the working class live under the shadow of fancy skyscrapers. You can check out my instagram "local.shanghai" to get an idea.

PHILOSOPHY
life is short, live it up

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I surfed quite a few times in the United States, Colombia and Chile, had awesome experiences and became great friends with many. Now I finally have my own place in Shanghai and would love to pay back the kindness I received from these lovely “strangers”, and keep the awesome couchsurfing community going.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

been to all the continents except the Antarctica;

travelled in South America for over a year and my life is never the same afterwards;

managed to get to the northernmost part of South America where i thought was literally the end of the world;

went to this seclusive island called Koh Rong in Cambodia before it became touristy;

met a local Indonesian girl on the bus to a coffee plantation at the foot of ijen crater and got invited to her families living in the beautiful village;

dived at the great barrier reef and saw amazing corals and sea creatures;

been to almost every province in China and am still exploring my own country;

the list it too long...

I can share with you what I know about the Chinese and Japanese language and culture.
