About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, travel, travel...

ABOUT ME

I work for a travel tech start up managing the English content. First in Hong Kong for 2.5 years and now recently moved to Taipei. I definitely make the most of this perfect location for exploring Asia and have travelled to Indonesia, Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines within the few years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed in many places across the world and I've loved every experience. I've also hosted once at my place in Hong Kong but if you know anything about the size of Hong Kong flats, you'll know why I can't do it all the time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Ottawa, Quebec City, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Beijing, Shenzhen, Taipei and Taichung.

Interests

Travelling! I love learning new languages and experiencing different cultures, especially tasting foods from all over the world.

I love cooking and trying new restaurants. I always relish the challenge of making a meal out of whatever random foods may be found in the kitchen.

I started salsa dancing about 3 years ago and find that everywhere I go usually has some sort of salsa scene that's always welcoming and friendly.

I also do a lot of sailing, skiing, squash, and I enjoy most other sports. I've been told I have a talent for making up pointless travelling games!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing Petra in Jordan completely blew me away; taking the Rocky Mountaineer train from Jasper to Vancouver was an incredible journey; and seeing the sun rise over the Grand Canyon was an awesome experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best thing about couchsurfing is being able to learn how a local lives and places to go off the beaten track. I'm also always up for learning a new language and it's great to learn and share different cuisines.
