I grew up in a small town in California, studied geography in Texas, moved to Chicago to study urban planning, met a guy named Tim and we decided to cross the United States on foot! We are voluntarily choosing to be home-light explorers, packing a tent, some sleeping bags, food & water, and two adventurous spirits to carry us along the way.

Walking across the country with a tent is great, but we'll probably need a shower every once in a while and a couch or bed could be a nice luxury sometimes too!

Tim and I will be walking from San Francisco to New York, which means there are lots of places where we might not know someone along the way and will turn to this larger network of friends to help us along the way!
