About Me

ABOUT ME

Been living in the Twin Cities of Minnesota for the last 8 or so years, plus or minus. Embarking on a new life adventure in Boston this fall, and am hoping to meet some friends along the way while seeing some of our most beautiful parts of the country that i've never previously experienced!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had several incredible experiences in India and Nepal and was so humbled by the generosity and openness of my hosts.

Travel can be so meaningless when people simply cruise through a place and don't develop an understanding of their surroundings.

Couchsurfing and other forums help facilitate connections to create more meaningful opportunities to learn and share.

I am searching for a place in Boston this summer, and hope to be able to find a place where I can host others in the future.

Interests

I love community gardens, cooking, baking bread, making and appreciating music, spending time outdoors. I am passionate about cohesive, equitable communities and ecological well being.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty movie-illiterate. I tend towards documentaries but am always open to watching classics....BUT that means I'm a fun and appreciative movie watcher.

The only show I've watched in many years is Orange is the New Black.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent six months in India and nepal learning from small farmers about seed saving and traditional farming practices.

Hiking the himalayas in nepal was quite possibly my life highlight.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in the 'everyone's a student and everyone's a teacher model' to the core of my being! I teach you how to ferment things, or make indian flatbread, or spin frisbees on your fingers.

I love to be taught anything cooking-related. I always appreciate learning new interesting facts, and if you're a good story teller, I'm sold. Your local knowledge of showing me around town would also be infinitely valuable.
