Overview
About Me
I'm a first generation Persian/Finnish American. I currently live off-grid in a cabin in rural Vermont and really love it. I'm in graduate school for clinical mental health counseling and also heavily involved in the music and social justice scene here. I love nature, books, comics, all forms of art, and especially food. I love gardening/farming. Used to be a natural builder before starting school and still very interested in all things eco and sustainable living.
I haven’t used this since I was 18 because it’s easy for me to find connections when traveling in the states but this summer will be my first time traveling internationally since I was a teenager!
Also I am queer and transmasculine (FTM) and I have a thick skin about it as long as you’re nice. I use he/him or they/them pronouns.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently looking for a place to stay in Oslo June 12-15 during an extended layover as I voyage to Finland to see my extended family for the first time in 13 years! Also looking to visit Estonia and Latvia.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of movies, even more music, and mainly comic books. I also love clubbing when I have the energy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built a house out of strawbales :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook. I can talk about many things (look at my interests, then imagine about 20 times more things). I can play violin, guitar, and piano. I'm pretty good at gardening and other hippie things like composting and taking care of chickens.
I'd like to learn more carpentry skills and always looking to gain more cooking skills. Also wilderness stuff.
I have LOTS of experience living communally and sharehouses and other group living situations so I understand what it means to be a good guest! (Which many people can attest to)
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good chat, great cooking, and lots of random information!
