ABOUT ME

I always try to find balance in my life. I am ambitious and competitive at work and sport. Yet, it is always important to relax and spend my spare time on creative projects and when I can travel. There are so many things I have seen and still want to see. As a project co-ordinator I like to plan my days and trips abroad allowing the best use of time to really immerse myself in my surroundings. What makes the experience really memorable is meeting and hanging out with the amazing people you meet along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

I am from an ex army family, the motto being the three c's, consideration for others, cleanliness and compassion.
Always respect other peoples space and privacy but always happy to hang out with people and have an adventure!
Never forget that you have the capacity to change yourself, your surroundings and get what you want out of life.

I feel CS is the best way to really involve yourself in where you are and meet some amazing people.

Interests

I am an outgoing, adventurous person and enjoy a huge variety of sports.
I train in boxing, ice hockey, long distance running, roller derby and love rock climbing, trekking, and swimming. At the moment, I am training for a 10K race and raising money for HopeHIV.
On the flip side, I like good food, a glass of nice Rioja, live music, film, travelling and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Film wise, I am a massive Guy Richie and Quentin Tarantino fan.
Sci-fi nut: Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5 ,Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, all of the Stargate! Favourite being Firefly and of course the film Serenity!

I enjoy the best of any music genre and always willing to give anything a listen. I tend to listen to rock or alternative music, however also love listening to the radio in the morning to wake me up.

Books wise, I tend to read on recommendations. Looking on my bookcase it is mainly how to's for filming, editing, special effects, photography, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not necessarily something I have done but a very unique thing about me is: When my dad left the army his new job meant that i lived onsite with him in a theme park (Chessington World of Adventures) from 4 until I was 12 with another family onsite. From my bedroom window I could see the rides and people having a great time exploring!

Seeing the sunrise over a mexican beach was such a tranquil and self-affirming moment that I would love to see again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love skating! In my roller derby team, we continue to teach those in the group and learn from others more advance. Within my team, we are constantly sharing tips for the best skating moves and I truly enjoy the sense of community and second family from it.
