About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go as many places and record as many endangered languages as possible before they vanish

ABOUT ME

I'm kinda a know it all. I love to find out about the places I live in and visit so I usually can give you a history lesson while were headed down to a local festival or to a great local dive for a beer.

PHILOSOPHY

I genuinely care about people. They are interesting and everyone has great stories to tell. If something sucks I just chill and remember "this too shall pass"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am not participating in life as the Spring semester just melted my brain. Recuperating by watching endless supply of scifi on netflix.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

the only couch surfing experience I've had was a negative one. My roommates friend would not leave. Didn't move out for 3 months and was really dirty and inconsiderate. I have had other people stay with me more recently and it has been good so I figured that it would work out to do couch surfers with such specific guidelines and lots of like minded people. I have also heard lots of good stories about this service.

Interests

I'm the eternal student. I love to learn about new people and cultures so I usually end up trying to find out as much as I can about people. I love to travel and I'm a linguistics major so I love to listen to how people talk.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im into scifi right now as it helps repair the brain goo. however I like read from many different genres. Music is anything from pop to Dylan. Although since my hubby doesn't listen to lots of music we usually don't have it on in the house. We live on netflix. and hulu plus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a semester in Salamanca, Spain. That alone is one of the high points of my life but when we went on a trip to Granada the sunset took your breath away. We also mixed with the locals at a bar and had a wonderful time.
My friend and I put on a talent show for underprivileged children in Xela,Guatemala. It was an amazing event and we had a huge crowd come to cheer on kids from 8-15 years old. They sang, acted, drew pictures. It was so wonderful to meet such talented kids and be a part of such a special day.
