About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live with love, create a beautiful memory, see all that I can and climb, hike and boogie-woogie my way thru...

ABOUT ME

I am a contagiously smiley individual with the will power to hold it back when necessary...which thankfully isn't too often.

I studied Fine Art in University and am proficient in many media.

I have been traveling since I could drive and intend on doing so till the end of time.

I have a six year old pup whom I love dearly.

I work hard and play hard.

PHILOSOPHY

Send out love, receive love. Be thankful. Always ask why?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am newer to the CS project, but have heard so many good things about it from my dear friends that...I too found my way here.

Have finally had the opportunity to host, and it was GREAT! Next step, surf the couch of someone I have yet to have had the pleasure of meeting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thru dear friends that host, I have had the pleasure of meeting several CouchSurfers, as well as personally hosting a handful. As for my travels, I, myself, have stuck to surfing friends couches throughout the country. However, am uber excited to embark on my CouchSurfing excursion!

Interests

So, so many! I keep an egg shaker and harmonica with me at all times. I like to have a book in progress at all times. I LOVE live music, new and old. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE creating and entertaining with my friends. I also dig hiking, rock climbing, in-line skating, biking, camping, photography, playing with my dog and much much more......like: making jewelry, movies, art, symbolism, thought, thought provoking, writing, cooking, nutrition, home remedy witch doctoring, and spreading positivity. Just to list a few ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

All of Tom Robbins books, even his childrens book: B is for Beer. Other authors: Carl Hiaasen, David Foster Wallace, Joseph Campbell, etc...I like books that puzzle me, teach me and pull me in with a mighty force.

Music: When Saints Go Machine, Delorean, The Wood Brothers, First Aid Kit, Mum, Tune Yards, Arcade Fire, Violent Femmes, Led Zepplin, Royksopp, M.I.A., Justice, Sleigh Bells, The Books, RJD2, Ratatat, Ramona Falls, Pretty Lights, Nomadic Firs, Noah and the Whale, The Clash, Glasser, Grizzly Bear, Edward Sharpe, Four Tet, David Byrne, The Pixies, Clams Casino, Born Ruffians, and so much more!

Movies: To many to list! Have been on a Hayao Miyazaki film kick, as of late, and I must say it's been one hellava journey!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met modern day Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, many years ago. We met along the Mississippi. My moniker, being Becky, made our adventures even more enjoyable. Throughout the next several years we would encounter each other again and again. At one point, their fleet started to grow. The story continues...to the end of our last encounter yet. Whereas, the lone Becky on the shore waved farewell.....Oh, the picture that was painted! So many beautiful reds, orange and purple's filled the sky, as the newly built Emerson Bridge set the backdrop; it was one of those perfect sunsets. All so surreal as each boat floated away to the tune of "Titoli di testa (theme song from the film ''The Good, The Bad, The Ugly'')," and we waved; as their fireworks shot off I nearly cried.

Teach, Learn, Share

Just that! I believe in teaching, learning and sharing. Stories? Got em? I'll share mine, if you'll share yours ;) Also, if your interested, I could teach dietary restricted cooking, sewing, painting, sculpture, English as a second language, how to teach yourself, and a different perspective.
