ABOUT ME
I'm friendly and easy going. Extremely honest and loyal and usually pretty fun. I've traveled a lot, and hope to continue to do so forever. I live in a small studio in NY, so hosting is an airmattress and shared space, but it might work for the right people.
Interests
I love meeting new people and enjoy working with others. I am a professor by profession, and I also do some bartending. I write and translate and daydream. I like to play piano, read, knit, wander, see music. I make things for myself and others as often as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
5 a.m., Moscow, 01/01/05: having just come off a train from Krasnoyarsk in Siberia (approximately a three day journey), my traveling companion and I wandered down Tverskaya, having twelve hours to kill before our connecting train to St. Petersburg. Looking for food, we see a "StarDogs" kiosk. Coming down the street next to the kiosk, on the sidewalk, was a horse with a passed out rider. The horse stuck his head into the window of the kiosk, banging the rider's head on the awning in the process, and waking him up. Probably the most surreal and hilarious series of events I've ever seen. Later on, we saw the same guy giving rides on his horse to girls in party dresses, further down Tverskaya.
