About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To never be bored.

ABOUT ME

I wander around, and make things.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is probably a good thing and all that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By being a couchsurf-er slash couchsurf-ee.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Previous couch-surfing has been done more traditionally, i.e. by meeting someone on a bus during aimless travels and then going home with them... Used this particular site for couchsurfing extravaganzas in the south of France and Scotland, Brooklyn, Portland, Seattle, and Victoria, Whistler & Penticton, Canada, so far.

Interests

Seals, sea lions, walri, sometimes manatees.

Music, Movies, and Books

1984, Brave New World, Island, Life of Pi, The Secret History, The Stranger, On the Road, Brooklyn, The Road, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter.. more, more...
Karaoke is obviously the highest form of musical genius.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wandering all over America and Europe. Generally by my merry self, meeting people along the way. Great way to travel! More wanders further afoot soon to come. Can't be keeping these wanders contained in the western world now, can we?
I also spent a couple of months bicycle-touring this past summer through the Canadian Rockies, mainly focused on cycling from Jasper to Banff, but with lots of side trips on the good old bike every which way. No idea how far I actually ended up going, but July was well over 1000km! Twas truly spectacular. Those mountains are mad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really know far too much about seals and sea lions.
I also know 7 or 8 digits of Pi.
Ask me, and this knowledge can be yours, too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Denmark, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, United Kingdom, United States
